Case Study B5 - Case Discussion - Answer (Question 1)

Which red cell antigens typically show dosage?

Antigens that often show dosage include:

  • Rh: C, c, E, e
  • Kidd: Jka, Jkb
  • Duffy: Fya, Fyb
  • MNSs

Other antigens such as K in the Kell system can show dosage but we usually do not notice it in the lab because K+ red cells are almost always K+k+.
