Case A4 - Answer (Post-transfusion antibody Identification)

The antibodies that cannot be excluded by the panel include anti-:

  • E
  • K
  • Jk a

Of these, anti-Jka is probable. It is the only one that can explain all reactions by itself. Specifically, it reacts 1+ or w+ with cells from donors who are homozygous for Jka and does not react with Jk(a-) donors or with donors who are only heterozygous JkaJkb
